Pio Pico Energy Project

International Line Builders’ work on this project in Southern California involved construction of a natural gas-fired, simple-cycle peaking and load-following facility to supply power to San Diego County.

Primary equipment for the Pio Pico Energy project included three 100 MW General Electric LMS100 turbine generators.

International Line Builders constructed a new 230-kV gen-tie overhead and underground transmission line to an existing San Diego Gas & Electric substation, as well as the PPEC switchyard, which includes 230-kV SF6 breakers, CT/PT units, ISO-Buss and H-frame structures.
