Wagner-Smith Equipment recently earned Star Status in the Voluntary Protection Program for site-based businesses by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Employees at Wagner-Smith’s Burleson, Texas, location achieved the designation.
Wagner-Smith joins an elite group of companies with VPP Star status. OSHA describes the status as its official recognition of companies that have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health.
There are approximately 1,200 site-based VPP Star participants in the federal program.
“This achievement is a direct reflection of the dedication and commitment to safety from every employee at every level of our organization,” Jerry Phillips, safety manager at Wagner-Smith Equipment, said. “From our executive leadership team who consistently displays a sincere desire to provide the best possible work environment, to all of our office, warehouse and shop employees who always put safety at the forefront of everything they do, earning VPP Star Status has truly been a team effort.”
Maintaining VPP Star status is ongoing. To remain in the program, VPP participants undergo a regular renewal process.

The company has locations in Burleson, Texas; Dayton, Ohio; McDonough, Georgia; Phoenix, Arizona; Tualatin, Oregon; and Lawrenceville, Illinois.
